Paulaner Nockherberg is one of Munich’s most traditional beer halls. Its history goes back to the year 1627 when the Paulaner monks started brewing the Paulaner beer here. The restaurant is a meeting point for the whole neighborhood and Munich locals, but as well for guests from all over the world. A place to relax and enjoy a house-brewed beer among friends. Heart of the guest room builds a brand-new in-house brewery with two imposing brewing coppers in the middle. During the summer months a beautiful beer garden invites its guests to enjoy their meals and drinks outside. Differently sized banquet rooms like the cozy chimney room or the light-flooded room Bavaria await you and your guests. The big events, for up to 3.000 people, take place in the big festival hall - the biggest event location in a Munich brewery restaurant. The "Nockherberg" team is looking forward to welcoming you!
From Bavarian classics to gourmet delicacies. Depending on my appetite and mood, I will always find something at Nockherberg. There is also a huge selection of freshly tapped beers. In summer the large beer garden with its shady chestnuts attracts visitors.
Happened by chance while looking for parking. The waiter, a very nice young guy served us really well. The menu doesn't have a lot of choice in my opinion but the two dishes and the dessert we ordered were really well done. Prices in line with the city. What about I recommend it.
We love it here and come back regularly. You should definitely reserve well in advance, but the great food and atmosphere are worth it!
A wonderful beer garden and very nice staff. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come by again. I can highly recommend this beer garden and brewery.
Love this place. Very cool, new and the beer is fresh as it gets! Go and see for yourself ?
Great beer garden with a nice atmosphere. Beer and food are excellent.
Nice beer garden, good food and great beer
Great atmosphere in the beer garden, food ok. Unfortunately, the hygiene concept or the distance concept for self-service is underground. A cash register for drinks and food from the left and right does not work at all and just causes chaos. We all want to live as normally as possible, but a second cash register would be very helpful or some other route.
Very cozy. Good beer, good food. We were in the self-service area. Very nice staff. You are greeted in a friendly manner and the boss personally walks around too :)
Very bad economy, mass processing of the individual guest uninteresting. Have never eaten such bad kasspatzen. Service or restaurant management outrageous. Munich arrogant. (I say as a local) Can only recommend everyone to do this locally.
Very cozy beer garden with delicious food. Unfortunately a bit more expensive, but it's worth it. The Nockherberger cellar beer is recommended.
Like so many things in Munich ... but not much behind it. Reception from the arrogant "table assignee". He made it clear to us straight away: "Only something free in the self-service" Then we looked into the empty brewery and asked if there wasn't something free inside. "No, it's already closed" (!?!?!? Friday evening 8:20 pm) Then he suggested the bar. We then took them. We were so grateful to the guy ... cough. There are high tables around the bar. So it was okay. Looking at the barman ... we could see that he was almost always standing behind the counter without a mask, tapping. He put the drinks ready and kept talking to the waitress over the drinks without a mask. My beer glass had mouth prints. Food was in terms of taste (and of course optically) okay, but the quality was rather poor. I had a burger and every bite had gristly knobs ... My friend's food was okay, the gravy was rather dry. The Wiener Schnitzel is good to eat there. In terms of price everything above the (Munich) average. Last but not least, we were asked at 9.50 p.m. if we wanted to drink ... last round. (Friday evening) According to the notice, the shop closes at 11pm. But it is common in Munich an hour before closing. But please ... close a shop at 11pm in a big city!?!?! Ridiculous.
Our first meal in Munchen and one of the best German food we have eaten. The portion was hugeee and well worth the price. Food was tasty, but don’t order too much (we had to take away the left over). Staffs were super friendly, they joke about our dog and even brought him some water.
The prices are very excessive. In addition, the "Oktoberfest-like" beer is poured. So you are pulled over the table twice. The beer garden has no flair and looks sterile. Fortunately there are enough alternatives in Munich!
The food and beer was outstanding! Nice atmosphere and great value for money. Always my pleasure
Perfect food, great service. A nice evening with friends and family is definitely on offer on the Nockerberg. Can just be recommended.
The setting is really very pleasant and very calm. The food is very decent and the beer is good. It is very easy to go with the children because it is large and safe. I recommend.
Food was good. But for a dish that costs € 24 on the daily menu and is no longer available, I think it's outrageous to propose another dish that then costs € 36 without pointing it out. I don't find the price / performance ratio justified.

Excellent food and always great beer!
we used to here a lot but two previous experiences broke the straw on the camels back: the last meal I had there made me sick and I wasted a whole day recovering in bed. On other occasions, the female manager (?) owner (?) was again having a bad day. She stomps around, complaining about customers and employees out loud, which makes a terrible impression on the business. Last time she was yelling at one of the kitchen staff outside infront of everyone. Get a grip. We will not be back!
in the evening, we had not reserved .. "Actually" the restaurant manager had no table free, but he could give us the standing table .. In the end, not even 50% of the tables were occupied. Waiters super friendly, but far too few staff, therefore extremely long waiting times. The waiter who served the food just put it on the table, we had to distribute it ourselves, no communication either. We got our cutlery ourselves. But food was very good.
Good food, great drinks, friendly service and slightly expensive.
One of the nicest beer gardens in Munich..
Nice beer garden.
One of the best restaurants in Munich Friendly, professional staff, great service.
The beer tastes real fresh, and it's a pretty big biergarten. The food is pretty average.
Nice evening with friends,
Afterwork beer is always nice. And the traditional Bavarian dishes are delicious
Super beer garden experience
Good food, very good beer! Very expensive! 4,80€ for 0,5l beer. 21€ for a Schnitzel.
Eat in 1634 it is one of the oldest and best brewery in Munich. A must see place for the beer lovers..
I love the stout beer and the pork knuckles.
Very good food and Beer, lovely modern Bavarian style
Really nice atmosphere, great service and food, and the beer brewed there is really tasty!
Paulaner am Nockherberg is a nice restaurant at the Nockherberg. The food is great and there is a great selection. The staff is friendly and serve you with a smile. The brewery looks great and you can try a lot of different beers. With Rosa Montag there is a Starkbierfest. This place is absolutely worth to visit.
Worth a visit if you are in town. Not the most central, but definitely one of the better beer houses. Can join the dark beer fest here. Food is good. Prices are a little high. The view of the city is fantastic and the staff can be friendly
Good food and atmosphere
The ribs were very tender, almost fall off the bone. Can really recommend.
Modern Bavarian restaurant. Very nicely renovated. We ate very well. Can only recommend :-)
Perfect food and beer. Fantastic staff
Real Bavarian food and beer experience
Fancy location!
Best
Great unfiltered beers, presumably brewed locally instead of their production brewery, good but expensive food. An impressive location.
Best beer. Good food
Wow! Despite being a temple for meat eaters, had a very tasty ravioli portion. When in Munich-don't miss it .
Delicious. Beer.
Best Paulander Place in Munich Service and food is above expectations
The greatest “gourmet-brewery” in Munich. The ambient is cozy and accommodating. The staff is very skilled and trained to offer the guests a positive experience, while tasting delicious dishes.
